AI And Nutrition Providers
EatAI uses service providers to parse meal descriptions, transcribe voice input, estimate nutrition, operate infrastructure, diagnose app errors, and understand product usage. These providers may include Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, Sentry, Mixpanel, Resend, Apple, Google, FatSecret, and USDA FoodData Central.
Nutrition estimates and AI outputs can be incomplete or wrong. EatAI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, allergy advice, eating-disorder care, or medical nutrition therapy.
Product Analytics
EatAI uses Mixpanel for first-party product analytics in staging and production builds when analytics is configured. Mixpanel receives events through the EU endpoint https://api-eu.mixpanel.com.
Analytics events may include your Supabase user id as the Mixpanel user id after sign-in, a Mixpanel SDK device id, default SDK or device properties such as operating system, OS version, app version, app build, device model or manufacturer, screen size, library version, and the app environment.
EatAI sends only coarse product events to Mixpanel, such as screen views, screen-time duration buckets, authentication outcomes, onboarding completion, meal-log outcomes, AI parse outcomes or limit states, water amount buckets, and problem-report type.
EatAI does not send Mixpanel raw meal text, voice transcripts, exact nutrition values, category names, body measurements, profile details such as age or sex, email addresses, tokens, raw errors, or raw media metadata.
Voice Retention
EatAI is designed to process raw voice recordings only as needed to parse the meal. We do not retain raw voice media by default. If a short operational retention window is enabled later, our target is to delete raw voice media after processing or within 24 hours. Derived meal records, transcripts or raw meal text, nutrition estimates, and account history may remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account.
Advertising And Tracking
EatAI does not use third-party ads, sell personal data, sell consumer health data, use advertising identifiers, or use third-party ad tracking in v1. Mixpanel is used for first-party product analytics only, not advertising, retargeting, data broker sharing, or cross-app tracking. If this changes, we will update this policy and any required consent or store disclosures first.
Health Integrations
EatAI v1 does not connect to Apple Health, HealthKit, Google Health Connect, Google Fit, wearables, or fitness trackers.
Retention And Deletion
We keep account data while your account is active. After account deletion, we aim to delete or anonymize account data within 30 days where possible. Backups may take up to 90 days to age out. Some records may be retained where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, tax, payment disputes, or store compliance.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, or appeal privacy decisions. Send requests to privacy@eataiapp.com.
Europe And International Transfers
For European users, EatAI relies on appropriate legal bases such as contract performance, consent, legitimate interests, and legal obligations. Some service providers may process data outside your country. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
